The film adaptation, which is set to hit theaters in November 2024, will star Ariana Grande as Glinda the Good Witch and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba the Wicked Witch of the West. Jonathan Bailey and Marissa Bode will also star as Fiyero and Nessarose, respectively.
The film is based on the 1995 novel of the same name by Gregory Maguire, which tells the untold story of the witches of Oz. The novel was adapted into a musical in 2003, and it has since become one of the most popular and successful shows on Broadway.
